AutoZone Recalls Booster Cables after Discovering Shock and Explosion Hazard

AutoZone Parts Inc., has announced it has issued a recall for their Valucraft Booster Cables after it was discovered the cables posed an electrical shock and explosion hazard.

According to the recall the clamps attached to the booster cables were assembled incorrectly, resulting in reverse polarity thus posing an electrical shock and explosion hazard.

The Valucraft booster cables involved in the recall are the eight gauge and ten gauge cables. On the orange cables there will be a printed designation of “8GA” or “10GA”.

Consumers who purchased the Valucraft booster cables can return them to any AutoZone store and receive a refund or replacement.
