Glow in the Dark Cats created by South Korean scientists

South Korean scientists have cloned white Turkish Angora cats and that’s not the only thing that is unique about them. By using florescent protein genes, scientists said the cats will glow red under ultraviolet light.

The team of scientists says the procedure could help develop cures for genetic disorders. The cloning “artificially [creates] animals with human illnesses linked to genetic causes.”

The team was lead by Kong Il-keun, who first cloned cats in 2004 making him the first in the country to successfully complete the process.
