Dan Fogelberg Dead at 56

Dan Fogelberg, a leading voice in the soft-rock genre of the 1970s and 80s, died on Sunday after a three year battle with advanced prostate cancer. Fogelberg was 56.

With songs like “Leader of the Band,” “Hard to Say,” “Longer” and “Same Old Lang Syne” Fogelberg crafted his songs with simplicity and human emotion that translated into a massive following among music lovers.

Fogelberg passed away at his Maine home.
