Ron Paul Campaign Pulls In $6 Million on Sunday, Largest Ever One-Day Total

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul continues to raise eyebrows in the 2008 presidential race as the Texas congressman raked in more than $6 million from donators on Sunday.

The single-day haul is believed to be the largest fundraising total among presidential candidates in U.S. history. Mitt Romney’s exploratory committee has said they raised more than $6.5 million in a 24-hour period but those dollars included pledges for future donations and not actual dollars.

With more than $16 million raised in the fourth quarter Ron Paul supporters have proven they can continue to support their candidate but Paul will have to figure out a way to translate those donations into voter support.
