LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton reported Tuesday sales grew 11 percent in the first quarter, citing a strong increase in the United States and Europe, according to Associated Press.
The company says revenues rose to euro4.5 billion ($6.1 billion) during the quarter from euro4.0 billion a year earlier.

The company reports that sales in its fashion and leather goods segment, which is the company’s biggest segment, rose 8 percent to euro1.7 billion. The largest rise came in its watches and jewelry unit where sales rose 34 percent to euro204 million.
LVMH also posted an 18 percent rise in wine and spirits sales to euro635 million.
No earnings numbers were included in the sales report Tuesday.
