The United States and Russia signed a deal on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 to dispose of excessive amounts of weapons-grade plutonium, which resembles a mutual objective between the two Countries to rid each other of nuclear non-proliferation.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed the agreement, which consists of both countries to remove the 34 metric tons of plutonium by burning it in nuclear reactors.
