During the Monday, April 13, 2010, episode of NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Kevin Eubanks announced that he will be retiring from the late-night show next month.
Eubanks jointed “Tonight” when Leno first became host in 1992 and after Branford Marsalis left in 95’ he became musical director.
In the fall he followed Leno and came to “The Jay Leno Show” in primetime before the pair returned to “Tonight” on March 1, when they took over Conan O’Brien’s spot.
