The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded the Japan Industrial Conference on Cleaning the 2007 Best-of-the-Best Award. Made up of 130 companies who produce machines and agents to clean industrial sites, The Japan Industrial Conference on Cleaning has been recognized for their “exceptional contributions to protection of the stratospheric ozone layer.” (WebWire)
The Japan Industrial Conference on Cleaning made it a goal in to find a way to take out any chemicals, such as 1,1,1-trichloroethane and CFC-113, that are harmful to the ozone. Their solution was HFC-43-10, by doing that, they have developed a useful product, and in essence, helped save the world.
