Sandrama Lamy charged with sexual assault of Santa

Sandrama Lamy of Danbury, Connecticut has been charged with sexual assault and breach of peace after she was accused of groping a man dressed as Santa Claus inappropriately.

The man, whose name has not been released, was posing as Santa in a Connecticut mall when he alleges Lamy sat on his lap and began touching him inappropriately. Police say the 65-year-old man was able to identify Lamy quickly because she was on crutches.

“The security officer at the mall said Santa Claus has been sexually assaulted,” said detective Thomas Michael.

Police Captain Bob Myles said Santa was embarrassed by the incident. “He was apparently shocked and embarrassed by the whole incident,” Myles said.

Lamy, 33, has denied the reports of sexual assault. She was released from jail, but is set to appear in court on January 3.
