Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) jumped 2.81% to $23.41 after Computer processor maker Intel Corporation (INTC) late Tuesday posted first quarter earnings results that easily beat analusts estimates, and forecast a better-than expected second quarter.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) gained 2.81% to $47.16 after it reported a $3.3 billion profit for the first quarter Wednesday, even as its results were tempered by ongoing losses in consumer loan portfolios.  Profits were up 55% from a year ago. On a per share basis, the New York City-based bank said it earned 74 cents a share during the quarter, easily topping Wall Street's consensus estimate of 64 cents a share.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) climbed 1.82% to $19.01 after creating a new 52-week high of $19.15. Before the opening bell on Friday, Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) will announce its Q1 results. Analysts are expecting the company to post a profit of $0.09 per share compared to a profit of $0.44 per share in the year-ago quarter. Total revenue is expected to fall 22.0%.

American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) surged 1.40% to $45.62 after creating a new 52-week high of $46.12.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) surged 1.04% to $30.77 on high volume.
