The Aleutian Islands were rocked by a large earthquake yesterday around 11:30 p.m. The chain of more than 300 islands are apart of Alaska and extend southwest into the Pacific Ocean.
The quake was a 7.2 magnitude. No injuries or damages have been reported. A tsunami warning was issued and later cancelled as the earthquake didn’t generate destructive waves.
Another earthquake hit the San Bernardino Mountain early today. The 4.0 magnitude quake rocked Big Bear City, which is 100 miles east of Los Angeles, shortly before 4:16 a.m.
