Suspect Arrested in Emily Sander - Zoey Zane Murder

Federal authorities have said that an arrest has been made in the murder of Internet porn star Zoey Zane, whose real name was Emily Sander.

Israel Mireles, 24, was arrested in Mexico on Wednesday and will remain in custody until he can be extradited back to the United States where he will likely face trial in the murder of the 18-year-old El Dorado, Kansas woman.

Sander, a student at Butler Community College, disappeared on the night of Nov. 23 after leaving a bar with a man believed to be Mireles. While the early investigation centered on a missing student it was quickly discovered that Sander had created an alter-ego online and was an Internet porn star using the name Zoey Zane.

Police received a tip and six days after the disappearance of Sander her body was found. Authorities began to investigate Mireles and found large quantities of blood at a motel he was staying at in El Dorado.
