Jorge Cantu of the Florida Marlins has made Major League Baseball history by becoming the first player ever with at least one hit and one RBI in each of his team’s first nine games of the season.  Cantu secured this record by hitting a homerun in a Marlins victory over the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday night.  No other player has accomplished such a feat in the 90 years since RBIs became an official statistic.  This breaks George Hill’s record of eight games which had stood since 1921.  Cantu has stated, "It's a great honor" and that he's going to "get hungrier for more."
