Suicide Attack at Pakistani Hospital Leaves at least 10 Dead, More than 35 Injured

A suicide bomber struck a hospital in the southwest Pakistani city of Quetta, killing at last 10 people and leaving more than 35 injured.

According to reports the bomber entered the Civil Hospital and entered a waiting room where several people had gathered following the shooting of a Shia businessman. The attacker, believed to be a Sunni, then detonated an explosive that ripped through the room, killing several of the man’s friends and family members.

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari immediately condemned the attacks and said his government was determined to defeat terrorism.
