Winter Solstice Live on Heritage Ireland

Standing at about 500 years old, older than Stonehenge, Newgrange is a well known tomb in Western Europe.  Each year, light enters the tomb on the morning after the winter solstice.  Many people ask to see the first light creep into the chamber, but only a select few are given permission.

Newgrange was broadcasted live on the Heritage Ireland website (http://www.heritageireland.ie) this morning and will begin again at 8:30 tomorrow morning for the winter solstice 2007.
