John McCain Falling Short

Republican candidate John McCain of Arizona is a decorated veteran with experience as a leader and a solid moral standing. Though this is what Senator McCain’s candidacy stands on it simply is not enough. Polls from usaelectionpolls.com show Sen. McCain at a minute 4% while Mike Huckabee rises to 18% in polls relating to candidacy. As polls were taken in Iowa earlier this week in December, McCain is at 5.9 for Iowa, 7.0 for Nevada. He has tied at 12 for Illinois, New Jersey and Wisconsin. Though the outlook was positive for the polls in New Hampshire, McCain walks away with only an 18.2. Senator McCain was not the only candidate to see his percentages slide as John Edwards was also affected in New Hampshire. Oddly enough when it comes to regional polls, McCain fairs better in the northeast at 17.0 as he carries a low 8.3 in the Midwest. With Younger competitors with catchy communication skills, Senator McCain is struggling to keep up.

Though he may have what it takes to pull this country back onto its feet after a horrid war in Iraq, voters seem to be focused on other issues that lead their attention to candidates such as John Edwards and Mike Huckabee. Perhaps with the new focus on climate changes and global warming, Sen. McCain can recapture the voter’s attention. Sen. John McCain has been involved in watching the changes our planet is experiencing. He stated that he knows climate change is real and that we absolutely have to do something about it. Possibly taking focus off of Iraq and onto the Planet is the approach that will spike the polls for this election.

John McCain is polling nationally anywhere between 7% according to CBS News and 19% according to Fox News.
