Dennis Kucinich and the Other Democratic Candidates

One of the most interesting candidates in the presidential primaries that are upcoming is a man named Denis Kucinich.   This is a man who does not really agree with the other Democratic candidates and definitely does not agree with the Republican candidates, but also a man that seems to suddenly and recently have opinions that other members of the Democratic Party are starting to adopt.

Kucinich was one of the few Democrats that has been against the Iraq War from the very start and indeed is the only candidate running that has never voted any money for it.   While Democrats now seem to be agreeing with each other about the need to pull out of Iraq, Kucinich is known for frequently criticizing his Democratic running mates for changing their opinions on Iraq only when it became politically advantageous to do so.

Representative Kucinich is currently in his sixth term as a United States Representative and also seems to have Democrats rallying to his position on the issue of illegal immigration.   This is one of the bigger issues of the upcoming election and right from the very start of the issue Kucinich has been pushing for the issue to be dealt with as a violation of currently existing law rather than a political issue that needs to be solved by congress.   When the immigration bill was working its way through congress, Kucinich was vocal about his point of view.

Kucinich is the voice that a lot of people on the left wish more Democrats would have and because of his minor status in the current nomination race many of his opinions are not given large air time. His position is being monitored at www.USAElectionPolls.com on an ongoing basis.
