A television host recently said John McCain can make “cranky” look considerate. While it’s true McCain has a knack for getting his rough points across in pleasant manners, one thing is clear. He did in fact have a meltdown while in the public eye. The question is whether or not Americans are willing to look past it and elect him as President. The polls showed at www.USAElectionPolls.com seem to point to “no”.
While McCain holds a strong third place in the Republican Poll ran by ARG (American Research Group), it is unlikely he’ll ever win the nomination. His biggest problem is not his past however. It’s his competition. Running for the Republican nomination against Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Fred Thompson it has been easy for John McCain to get lost in the Big Boys Crowd.
While McCain clearly has support in many areas of the country, especially with those military vets and such, it is unclear where he legitimately stands in the race. While the polls show he will likely place third or fourth, it could be a surprise for everyone if he manages to pull it off. However, it is quite evident Rudy Giuliani, will continue to be the Republican front-runner for the remainder of the campaign season.
