Florida Parents Arrested After Trying to Sell Child for $30

Pensacola, Florida police arrested Robert G. Ellingson and Maghen Duvala on Friday and have charged them each with four counts of child neglect after the pair tried to sell their 2-month-old baby for $30 in a PetSmart parking lot.

 

According to police, Ellingson, 23, approached two people in the parking lot and offered them a beer. After the two declined the offer Ellingson told them he would sell his baby for $30. One of the two called police and the couple wee arrested.

 

Both Ellingson and Duvala are being held in Escambia County jail and were expected to make their first court appearance on Saturday.

 

The Department of Children & Families has taken custody of the baby.
