MLB Schedule Monday April 19: Boston Red Sox Look to End Four-Game Slide as Tampa Rays Shoot for Road Sweep
The Boston Red Sox have had a tough time coming out of the gate this year, already five games out in the AL East and currently sitting on a four-game slide. On Monday they’ll try to end that skid as they face a Tampa Bay Rays squad that has won six straight and is shooting for a sweep and sole possession of first place in the division.
San Francisco is sitting atop the NL West with a two-game cushion but they’ll be facing a San Diego Padres team that has won three straight and playing well. The Giants will be putting Matt Cain on the hill, hoping to bounce back from a tough loss to the LA Dodgers on Sunday.
The Los Angeles Angels have begun to dig themselves out of an early season hole, winning three straight and they can extend that to four games when they host the Detroit Tigers on Monday.
