Meagan Harper, the Oregan woman who was charged with drunk driving, had a 0.55 blood alcohol level when she was brought into the emergency room. That’s seven times more than the legal driving limit. Dr. Mohamud Dava said “You don’t see numbers that high. At that level, some people are so drunk thy stop breathing.” Another emergency room physician said that he hasn’t treated any one at that level for five years.
