Meagan Harper Charged with Drunk Driving 0.55 Blood Alcohol Level

Meagan Harper, the Oregan woman who was charged with drunk driving, had a 0.55 blood alcohol level when she was brought into the emergency room.  That’s seven times more than the legal driving limit.  Dr. Mohamud Dava said “You don’t see numbers that high.  At that level, some people are so drunk thy stop breathing.”  Another emergency room physician said that he hasn’t treated any one at that level for five years.

Appearing in court on Wednesday, 30 year old Harper was convicted with drunk driving.  She has conviction sin Washington and Multnomah counties as well as operating a boat while intoxicated in Wasco County.

Her bail was set at $50,000 and the judge, Patrick Gilroy, urged her to get help, “or you’ll end up dead or taking someone with you.”
