Heroin smuggled into elementary school

Heroin Abuse

In Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, police reported that a 3rd grader was discovered by a teacher to have passed out more than 60 small bags of heroin to his classmates.  The 8 year old attends Turner Elementary School, in Wilkinsburg.  In a news conference reported by local police, many of the bags were found empty and in the trash.  Police say that there were no reported instances of a child ingesting the drug.

There is an ongoing investigation of how the 8 year old obtained the heroin.  It is a known fact that many distributors and dealers of heroin target children in order to expand their market.  76% of people entering addiction treatment are being treated for heroin addiction in this part of the country with cities such as, Philadelphia and Baltimore ranking among the highest for heroin addiction.

Wilkinsburg police report that stamped on the bags of heroin was the words “trust me”.  For those suffering with addiction the words trust me and drugs simply do not mix.  Drugs cannot be trusted, they destroy and take the lives of people every day, and the only way to combat this epidemic is to trust the many workers and volunteers in our nation’s drug rehab facilities.

Mary Rieser, Executive Director of Narconon of Georgia states that, “it is a known fact that the Mexican cartels are pushing their drugs through American youth, the kind that fit in and would be believable.  This type of social transgression is down there with child trafficking and must be dealt with severely by law enforcement.

Narconon of Georgia, a non-profit organization is one of the most successful addiction treatment facilities in the country with a 76% percent rate of living a successful drug free life.  If you or your loved one is suffering with heroin addiction, Narconon will provide a complete and intensive drug treatment plan empowering freedom from addiction.
