Michele K. Anderson confessed to 6 murders

Michele K. Anderson and her boyfriend Joseph McEnroe have confessed to the murder of her parents, brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew.

On Christmas Eve the Washington state couple entered Wayne and Judy Anderson’s home and opened fire. Michele shot her father first and then Joseph shot him before shooting her mother twice. The pair, both 29, attempted to hide the bodies in a shed in the backyard.

Nearly an hour later Michele’s brother arrived at the house with his wife, Erica, and two children, 6-year-old Olivia and 3-year-old Nathan. Investigators say Michele, “knowing that Scott and his family were potential witnesses,” shot her brother and his wife while Joseph shot Olivia and Nathan.

“She killed Scott and Erica, and McEnroe killed the children. Both suspects have confessed,” court papers read. After the murders, the couple “tried to flee to Canada” but later returned to the house when the investigation was being conducted.

Anderson and McEnroe are being held in a King County jail.

Anderson’s nephew, Ben, said his aunt was always arguing with his grandparents over money. “She felt she wasn’t loved enough and everyone didn’t appreciate her and she was pushed out of everyone’s life,” he said. It is unclear if money was the motive for the murders.
