Brandy Norwood won’t be Charged in Fatal Accident

Brandy Norwood, the Grammy Award winning singer and television actress who was involved in a fatal car accident in 2006, won’t face charges related to the crash after the Los Angeles city attorney’s office determined there was “insufficient evidence” to place the 28-year-old on trial.

In December 2006 Brandy slammed her Land Rover into the back of a Honda on a Los Angeles freeway. The driver of the Honda, Awatef Aboudihaj, was killed in the accident after her car was struck by another vehicle.

Brandy would have been facing misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter had the attorney’s office opted to continue with a trail but they felt they wouldn’t be able to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
