MLB Schedule Tuesday April 20: NY Yankees Looking for Fifth Straight, Tampa Bay Rays Eye Eighth in a Row
The MLB schedule for Tuesday will include a number of teams either looking to continue winning streaks or snap extended losing streaks.
Heading into Oakland the New York Yankees will be looking for their fifth straight win as Javier Vazquez heads to the hill to face the A’s. The Yankees are currently sitting in second in the AL East, ½ game behind the Tampa Bay Rays.
Those same Rays will be shooting for their eighth straight win, coming off a sweep of the Boston Red Sox they now head to Chicago to face the White Sox, a team that has dropped four in a row and sit in last place in the AL Central.
The Red Sox have been the subject of much criticism as their 4-9 start has many worried, especially since they have lost their last five in a row. They’ll send knuckleballer Tim Wakefield to the mound on Tuesday when they face the Texas Rangers.
In the NL East a big series between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves gets started. The Phillies currently have a ½ game lead over the Florida Marlins while the Braves sit just one game out.
