NHL Playoffs Schedule Tuesday April 20: Sidney Crosby and Pittsburgh Penguins Back on the Ice Against Ottawa, San Jose Sharks Look to Bounce Back

Tuesday’s schedule for the NHL playoffs promise plenty of drama as four teams look to take commanding 3-1 series leads while the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators each fight for a 2-1 advantage.

While the Phoenix Coyotes came into the playoffs as a higher seed many people expected the Detroit Red Wings to take the series. After three games it has been a different story as the Coyotes are up 2-1 and are coming off an impressive Game 3 win in Detroit. The Red Wings will certainly feel the pressure to even the series as they can’t afford to fall behind 3-1.

After dropping their first game in Ottawa the Pittsburgh Penguins have bounced back to win two in a row and take a 2-1 series advantage over the Senators. Sidney Crosby has had plenty of help and he will be pushing to get his Penguins a 3-1 lead on Tuesday.

The Philadelphia Flyers are up 2-1 on the New Jersey Devils, a team they dominated in the regular season. Philly has been playing solid defense against the Devils and a win at home on Tuesday will move them one step closer to a second round playoff berth.

A disappointing opening game loss to the Nashville Predators had many Chicago Blackhawks fans worried but they corrected the problem in Game 2 to even the series at 1-1. Now the series shifts south and Chicago, one of the best road teams in the NHL, can take control of the series with a win on Tuesday night.

San Jose lost a devastating overtime game against the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 and will have to put that behind them on Tuesday if they are to even the series. The Sharks have played solid hockey but the Avalanche have taken advantage of every opportunity and have a ton of confidence heading into Game 4.
