O2 Media’s Hit Show The Balancing Act Welcomes the Veterans Health Administration to the Program!

It Just Takes a Little “Patients” and Dedication to Jump Start Your Career!

Job loss has been an unfortunate result of the ailing United States economy. One field not following this trend-- is healthcare. The Balancing Act teams up with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to share with viewers not only the opportunities-- but also the rewards of working in the healthcare industry.  Make sure you tune in Wednesday, April 21st at 7:00am as they air on Lifetime Television.

Special guests Sandy Leake and Shilpa Patel-Teague from the VHA also join the show.   They describe the many opportunities and advantages of working for Veterans Health Administration -- the VHA -- the largest healthcare system in the country with job openings nationwide.

The VHA treats veterans and focuses on providing them quality of care. While many people think that you have to be a veteran to work in the VA, 30% of the workforce are Vets, with plenty of room for veterans and non-vets.

A wide variety of positions are available in healthcare, and the VA employs people in over 300-different occupations, including nurses, physicians, pharmacists, technicians, administrators and human resources.
