NHL Playoffs Schedule Wednesday April 21: Alex Ovechkin Leads Washington Capitals into Game 4 Against Montreal Canadiens; Bruins and Kings Look for 3-1 Advantage

The first round of the NHL playoffs to can either get much tighter on Wednesday night or become a lot clearer as three teams take the ice with a 2-1 series advantage and two of those teams will be skating on their home ice.

After dropping their series opener the Washington Capitals have bounced back to take two straight against the Montreal Canadiens and could head home with 3-1 lead if they win on Wednesday night. Alex Ovechkin has smothered in Game 1 but he has found his space in the last two games and it has paid off as the Capitals now look like the number one seed.

The Boston Bruins have also won two in a row, bouncing back from an opening game loss to the Buffalo Sabres to now hold a 2-1 advantage. Boston would love nothing more than another win on home ice before having to travel back to Buffalo.

Just as the Bruins bounced back from an opening game loss, the Los Angeles Kings have done the same and now hold a 2-1 advantage on the Vancouver Canucks. The Kings are at home on Wednesday and the Canucks have struggled on the road all year, a good sign for LA fans.
