BMW International Golf Open - June 24th to 27th, 2010
The BMW International Golf Open is being held in Munich for the 21st time. Munich is also the home of the BMW headquarters in the striking Four-Cylinder Building near Munich’s Olympia Park. This tournament is steeped in tradition and is one of the most atmospheric on the European Tour - a claim most recently confirmed by Nick Dougherty’s emotional triumph last year. To achieve this feat again, Dougherty will have to defeat golfing greats like Bernhard Langer, Martin Kaymer, Robert Karlsson, Henrik Stenson, Retief Goosen, Miguel Angel Jiménez and Rory McIlroy.
200 Year Anniversary of Oktoberfest -September 18th to October 4th, 2010
In 2010, the Bavarian capital, Munich, celebrates a very special anniversary: 200 years of the Oktoberfest. From Sept 18th to Oct 4th, the 177th Oktoberfest will once again bring its unique atmosphere of celebration and lust for life to the "Theresienwiese"; the 100 acre area of open land which hosts the event in the heart of the city. Alongside the regular attractions of the world’s largest folk festival, a special program has been arranged with performances and exhibitions of Bavarian art, culture and tradition.
