Barack Obama Slams John Edwards For Political Ads

As the Iowa caucus grows ever closer, and an Barack Obama's position shows signs of dwindling, he is beginning to point out chinks in the armor of the third top candidate, John Edwards. A fact that Edwards is quick to point out that the law forbids the candidates from any interaction with the groups or the ads. Obama, however claims that when Edwards was a Senator in North Carolina, he had the vote to eliminate these advertisements but chose not to do so, saying the Edwards talks the talk but when the time comes for action, fails to walk the walk. Obama claims that one day Edwards is blasting this type of advertising while the next day is the beneficiary of $750,000 in support.

In the most recent American Research Group polls conducted in Iowa, which holds the nations first caucus January 3, Edwards has slipped into second place, with 20 percent of the polled voters expected to vote his way. Obama was in second with 19 percent and Hillary Clinton holding the lead with 34 percent, according to the results posted at www.usaelectionpolls.com.

In a poll conducted just three days prior, Clinton was at 29 percent and Obama was in second with 25 percent and Edwards at 18 percent. This decline in Obama's poll numbers is what Edwards blames for the recent attack.
