LibiGel to be Tested at the University of Virginia

LibiGel is a testosterone based ointment that is supposed to stimulate female libidos that lack a sex drive.  25 women from ages 30 to 65 will be prescribed the ointment.  Each subject has the medical condition known as hypoactive sexual desire disorder.  It is believed that one third of American women suffer with this disorder.

Each subject is required to have had their ovaries already removed, they must be taking an estrogen supplement and they all must be concerned about their lacking libido.  The test requires that each selected woman must rub the LibiGel on their upper arms.  If the gel works right, the testosterone in the gel will go through the skin and into the bloodstream increasing the woman’s energy and libido.

If LibiGel passes the tests and it is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, BioSante Pharmaceuticals Inc plans to produce the LibiGel making it available to women who crave a higher sex drive.
