Roethlisberger Suspended for Six Games

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has finally decided on a punishment for Ben Roethlisberger a week after prosecutors decided not to charge him for sexual assault against his 20-year-old accuser.  Roethlisberger has been suspended for six games for violating NFL policy with the possibility of that number being reduced or increased, depending upon his behavior.  He is the first player to be suspended under conduct policy who wasn’t either arrested or charged with a crime.  Goodell states that Roethlisberger “disappointed a great many people.”
