Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is heading into tomorrow’s Iowa caucuses with what appears to be a substantial lead over rival Hillary Clinton. According to the Des Moines Register poll Obama holds an impressive 32 percent of those polled while Clinton is favored by 25 percent. John Edwards appears to be right on Clinton’s heels with 24 percent.
Each of the three candidates have experienced highs in the case for Iowa voters with lead changes swinging throughout the campaign yet Obama appears to have gained the support of enough to carry the state.
Speaking to a Council Bluffs crowd of supporters Obama said, “The polls look good, but understand this - the polls are not enough. The only thing that counts is whether or not you show up to caucus.”
