NBA Playoffs Schedule Thursday, April 22: LeBron James and Kobe Bryant Continue Collision Course as Cavs and Lakers Look for 3-0 Series Leads
The NBA would love nothing more than a Finals matching LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. That almost happened last year but Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic interrupted that event but this year could be different.
LeBron has his Cavaliers up 2-0 in their first-round series against the Chicago Bulls and on Thursday night the venue shifts to the Windy City where Cleveland can punch their ticket to the second round with a pair of wins.
Kobe has been doing his part in the Lakers series with Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder as LA has a 2-0 series lead. Game 3 will be in Oklahoma City and the fans will certainly be out in force but the Lakers look determined to capture back-to-back NBA titles and would love to end this series and get some rest before the second round gets started.
The undermanned Portland Trail Blazers shocked the Phoenix Suns in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series as Amare Stoudemire struggled but Game 2 was a different story as the series was evened up in the Valley of the Sun but with Game 3 in Portland anything can happen.
