Dan Zanes and Friends Tours the US in 2008

Dan Zanes and Friends will be jet setting across the country this year bringing “his dance-party, hootenanny” (LA Times) to thousands of children nationwide.

Dan Zanes began his musical career in the early 1980’s with the Del Fuegos.  In 94 he released Cool Down Time and by 2000 he released Rocket Ship Beach under his record label Festival Five Records.  Rocket Ship Beach was a hit.  The New York Times Magazine said “kids music works because it is not kids music, just music, music that’s unsanitized, unpasteurized, that’s organic even.”  The Washington Post has written that Zanes “has charged to the rescue of beleaguered parents everywhere.”
