Dallas, Tx - Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) drops 13.04% to $13 on 120.95 million shares. The company on Thursday posted first-quarter net profit attributable to equity holders of 349 million euros ($465 million), or 9 European cents a share, up from 122 million euros, or 3 cents a share, earned in the year-earlier period.

Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE:Q) advances 4.77% to $5.49 on 217.38 million shares. CenturyTel, Inc. and Qwest Communications International Inc. announced that their Boards of Directors have approved a definitive agreement under which CenturyLink will acquire Qwest in a tax-free, stock-for-stock transaction.

Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) decreases 1.59% to $14.20. 

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) declines 1.71% to $544.80.

Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) added 0.57% to $17.55.
