Narconon of Georgia Submits Year End Report

Board of Directors Informed of Expansion in Drug Rehab and Drug Education

The Executives of Narconon of Georgia, a non 12 step drug treatment program, recently submitted their year end-report to the Board of Directors.  The report detailed a year of expansion across the boards in drug treatment and drug education.  Some examples of expansion were:

-12,000 children received drug education and information compared to 2,500 in 2006.

-The Red Ribbon Concert was bigger than ever, drawing a crowd of 5,000 in 2007 compared to 3,000 attendees in 2006.

-Over 130,000 drug information brochures were distributed throughout the Southeastern United States, 10,000 more than last year.

-The number of clients receiving long term car substance abuse rehab treatment was up 50% and this was the best news of all.

-The success rate of graduates of the Narconon non-traditional drug treatment program remains over 70%, based on a two year follow-up of its graduates.

Mary Rieser, the Executive Director, presented plans for even greater expansion in 2008 as Narconon of Georgia strives to amongst the best of long term drug rehab centers in the United States.

Narconon of Georgia is a non-traditional drug abuse treatment program which was founded in 1967 whose mission also includes drug education and working with children.  While many drug rehab statistics are nebulous, Narconon boasts a 76% success rate (based on a two year follow-up) through a non-12 step drug treatment program.  This program provides body detoxification through a sauna and exercise program that helps eliminate or reduce cravings. After the sauna program, the client learns those life skills essential to success in life and the ability to stay clean.  They graduate from Narconon with a life plan and continued support to make sure they make it in life.
