Though his religious choice in the media and stands on crime with Mike Huckabee keep Mitt Romney in the headlines, now his poll percentages may well do the same. Former Massachusetts’s governor Mitt Romney has struggled to stay away from talks of his controversial religious choice to be a Mormon and his flip-flop choice on abortion he has come out on top with high vote percentages in Iowa at 22% and New Hampshire at 33% over his biggest competitor Mike Chickadee.
The polls on usaelectionpolls.com and presidentelectionpolls.com show Romney at a December national average of 16% and the top five state averages for December in Florida at 16.6, South Carolina at 17.8, Iowa at 23.5, Nevada at 24.5 and New Hampshire at 32.1. The USA Election 2008 is shaping up to be a very tightly contested one.
Mitt Romney has two competitors on the Republic party that could cause him to lose this election. Rudy Guliani, former mayor of New York City and former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee. Giuliani has been easily in the3 lead for the majority of the election and only recently has Huckabee picked up voter enthusiasm. With a large voter population of Christian women on his side, Huckabee has seen a rapid increase in his poll percentages, especially in Iowa at 31%. Mitt Romney has been in the news over his battle of words concerning crime with Huckabee. How much will this effect Romney’s presence in the election, we can’t tell for sure. We can simply keep our eyes on the polls and watch the results come in.
