Barack Obama Continues to Lead in Iowa as John Edwards Surges Past Hillary Clinton

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama continues to lead in the Iowa polls as citizens take to caucusing today in what could help shape the race for the White House come the Democratic Nomination.

 

While Obama continues to lead, his nearest competitor has changed as John Edwards moved past Hillary Clinton according to a Reuters/C-Span/Zogby poll released earlier today.

 

With a show of support at 27 percent Edwards now trails Obama by four percent while Clinton has fallen to 24 percent in the poll.

 

Thursday night’s results will lead into the New Hampshire primaries that will be held on January 8.
