2010 NFL Draft Second Round Order: Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy and Sergio Kindle Still on the Board; St. Louis Rams on the Clock

The 2010 NFL Draft got underway with no surprise as the St. Louis Rams selected Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford with the number one pick. As day two welcomes the second round of the NFL Draft the surprises could begin to roll in as it’s the Rams once again who will get things started and with a ton of talent still on the board St. Louis could shake things up with a trade.

Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen remains on the board to the surprise of many who figured he would have been the second QB taken in the first round. That honor went to Tim Tebow who went number 25 to the Denver Broncos and now Clausen should go within the first few picks of round two.

Clausen could end up in a Chiefs or Browns jersey but if the Rams deal their pick the former Fighting Irish signal caller could be in a more attractive situation.

While Colt McCoy collected more wins during his college career than any other quarterback he too remains waiting by the phone but the Texas QB will certainly find a home by the end of the day. McCoy’s teammate, linebacker Sergio Kindle, was seen as a solid first-round pick but he to fell into the second round and some team will be getting a steal when they draft him.

ESPN will be covering the second round as well as the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET.
