Gary Michael Hilton Was Seen with Missing Hiker Meredith Emerson

Gary Michael Hilton was seen speaking with the missing Georgia Hiker, Meredith Emerson on Tuesday as reported on CNN.  He was seen several times along the Freeman Trail at Blood Mountain.  Five feet ten inches tall and weighting about 160 pounds, the 61 year old man and his dog Dandy were seen with Emerson and her dog, Ella.  The two were talking while they let their dogs loose.  The dogs then ran up the mountain and Hilton and Emerson followed.  Hilton is reported to have been wearing a yellow jacket and wearing a “large, older backpack.”

Two cars, both a Ford Astro minivan, one a 96 and the other an 01, were found registered in DeKalb county under Hilton’s name.  Both plate numbers have been released and officials are asking everyone to keep an eye out for either one.

Police and volunteers are continuing their search for the missing 24 year old University of Georgia alumna.  Her parents flew in from Colorado.

So far a 95 Chevrolet Cavalier, a bottle and leash belonging to Emerson have been found.
