Presidential Candidates off to New Hampshire, St. Anselm College Debates Set for Saturday

With impressive wins in Iowa both Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee will try to ensure their victories translate into solid numbers at the New Hampshire primary set for Jan. 8.

That could be difficult as both candidates have struggled to put up much of a fight in the Granite State yet Thursday night’s wins could sway some New Hampshire voters. While Obama will be forced to make up ground on his biggest rival Hillary Clinton, Huckabee has to jump NH frontrunner John McCain, Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani if he wants to take the state.

The candidates will get the opportunity to separate themselves on Saturday when St. Anselm College hosts both a Republican and Democratic debate that will be aired on ABC.

Joining Huckabee on the Republican stage will be McCain, Romney, Giuliani, Fred Thompson and Ron Paul while the Democratic candidates have trimmed their numbers to four with Obama being joined by Clinton, John Edwards, and Bill Richardson.

The Republican debate will be held at 7:00 p.m. while the Democrats follow at 9:00 p.m.
