Missing Russians Rescued After Three Months

Eleven people who were stranded for almost three months were rescued on Friday.  The group was on a fishing trip off the Kamchatka Peninsula when they were caught in a storm.  The storm damaged the two boats and trapped them in an isolated area of the Pacific coast.

According to Vesti 24, a television station, the group survived on flour taken from an abandoned military base, hunted game and furniture wood for heat.  Five of the eleven people were sent to find help once the food supplies started to run low.  Four days later the group of five was able to find a military unit and send for help.
