12-Year-Old Boy Confesses to Beating Toddler to Death with Bat

A 12-year-old Florida boy confessed to authorities that he struck and killed a 17-month-old girl with a bat on Saturday because the girl was crying while he was trying to watch television.

The boy had been babysitting a 10-year-old girl along with the toddler at the time.

Authorities arrested the boy on first-degree murder charges and he was arraigned in juvenile court on Sunday.
