Firefighters Battle Three-Alarm Fire in Hoboken

A three-alarm blaze struck a bar in Hoboken, N.J. Monday morning.

Both Hoboken and Jersey City fire departments were on the scene to extinguish the fire.

According to Hoboken Police, the call for the fire came in around 12:55 a.m. from Mc Swiggan’s Bar in Hoboken.

The fire started on the first floor of the four-story building and quickly spread upward. Four families that lived above the bar were escorted out as the building was evacuated.

The fire was contained around 3:30 a.m. but flared up again. Five crews were left to contain the fire.

Many streets were closed surrounding the fire.
