Chartered Bus Rolls Down Embankment in Utah, Eight Killed, 20 Injured

Eight members of a skiing trip were killed on Sunday evening when the chartered bus they were returning home in rolled down an embankment in southeastern Utah.

 

As the Arrow Stage Lines bus was rolling the roof split, tossing several passengers from the vehicle. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident occurred after the driver of the bus was unable to manage a curve, sending the bus over the embankment.

 

The 51 passengers onboard the bus were traveling from Telluride, Colorado to Phoenix, Arizona. At least 20 passengers were injured in the crash.
