Rescue Crews Continue Search of Rural Areas Following Deadly Tornadoes Across Mississippi

One day after a series of deadly twisters claimed at least ten lives in Mississippi rescue crews continue their search of rural areas, hoping to ensure there were no other fatalities tied to the devastating storms that swept across the southeast on Saturday.

Several of the areas in which the crews are searching had been inaccessible in the hours that followed the tornadoes.

The tornadoes leveled several homes and buildings, fell power lines and blocked roads as they moved across the state, hitting Yazoo County, Choctaw County and Holmes County hardest.

On Sunday several volunteer state troopers and other law enforcement officers spread out across the hardest hit areas, searching the hard to reach places for additional victims.
