American Cornhole Organization’s King of the Campground to Host Scotts Turf Builder Cornhole Classic at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Race fans will be enjoying their favorite tailgating pastime during both Charlotte race weekends at Charlotte Motor Speedway as Speedway Children's Charities teams up with the American Cornhole Organization to host the Scotts Turf Builder Cornhole Classic.

The Cornhole Classic will help kick off Coca-Cola 600 Weekend festivities with a 64-team double-elimination tournament starting Friday, May 28 at 3 p.m., and continuing Saturday, May 29 at 10 a.m., with the championship match held Sunday, May 30 at 2 p.m.  FREE play will be held all weekend long around the tournaments to perfect your skills.

Fans participating in the classic will have the opportunity to participate in some of the best Cornhole tournaments around, but also can win some spectacular awards.

   The prizes include:

   Championship Package:

      * $500.00

      * Two suite tickets to the Bank of America 500, October 15, and the
         Dollar General 300, October 16

   Runner-Up:

      * $200.00

      * Two suite tickets to the Dollar General 300, October 16

   Top Qualifier:

      * $200.00

      * Two tickets to the Bank of America 500, October 15

   Second Place Qualifier:

      * $150.00

      * Two tickets to the Dollar General 300, October 16

   Third Place Qualifier:

      * An
American Cornhole Board Set and Backyard Barkeep Score
         Stand

In addition to the double-elimination tournament Coca-Cola 600 Weekend, a King of the Campground social tournament presented by Scotts Turf Builder will be held in conjunction with the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, May 21 at noon and May 22 at 2 p.m. The general public will be granted "open play" in-between official tournament times to perfect their Cornhole skills.

The social Scotts Turf Builder Cornhole Classic will award the top three finishing teams an All-Star prize pack consisting of gift cards, race gear and other great prizes.

Registration for the Scotts Turf Builder Cornhole Classic Coca-Cola 600 Weekend is $40 per team while the cost of the King of the Campground social tournament during Sprint All-Star Race Weekend is just $20 per  team. All interested fans can register online at
