Madeleine McCann Case: Enough Evidence to Charge Parents

According to reports, detectives on the Madeleine McCann case say they have enough evidence to charge the 4-year-old’s parents in her disappearance and possible death.

Madeline disappeared from her parent’s holiday flat in Portugal on May 3. Kate and Gerry McCann were named official suspects in her disappearance as was a nearby resident Robert Murat. Murat’s name has been cleared as he has a solid alibi, but the McCann’s have not been so fortunate.

“Most of the elements of proof have already been collected,” said a police source.

Part of the evidence is assumed to be a DNA sample matching Madeleine that was found in Gerry and Kate McCann’s car which they rented by 25 days after their daughter’s disappearance.

Detectives are reportedly set to travel to the UK to question the McCann’s and the friends that were with the couple the night Madeleine went missing. “We just want to reconfirm the statements made by the McCanns and their friends,” added the police source.
