John McCain Takes Hits From Mitt Romney

As Arizona Senator John McCain remains firm on his positions on immigration fellow republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney takes aim on McCain’s specific viewpoints. Romney stated that McCain has goals to provide illegal immigrants in the United States with amnesty. McCain simply desires to provide a legal path for some undocumented immigrants to gain citizenship. This is not so much amnesty as a presidential candidate who understands that people are risking life and limb to enter a country that provides them chances of living a higher quality of life. They leave behind family and loved ones in this pursuit.

We as Americans often take for granted the opportunities we have in this country. Crime rates soar to ranges so high that people who do have wealth in Mexico choose to transport themselves via personal helicopter to remain safe from muggings and other criminal acts in the streets. It is a large concern to prevent the numbers of people from outside our borders from entering into our country illegally.

Senator McCain is not saying that is right for the rapidly increasing numbers of immigrants should be able to continue to flock uncontrolled, but that they should not just be sent packing in the night for export. Senator McCain understands this is a sensitive and important area of concern that should be dealt with as such. Polls at usaelectionpolls.com show McCain at a 5% grace in the eyes of voters while the polls from ARG show 39% and CNN polls at 33%. With New Hampshire hot on the poll charts, we are bound to see some surprising changes in the polls. Perhaps Mitt Romney will ease off of McCain’s view on Immigration and focus on his own run for president.
